Purple Mountain Press is excited to exhibit at this year’s New York History Conference, to be held June 11-12 at Marist University in Poughkeepsie.

Tabling with our colleagues at Black Dome Press, Purple Mountain will present our two newest books, John Brown Farm: From Abolitionist Vision to Memorial Site and Peter Pan in the Catskills and Other Historical Essays, as well as some of our bestselling backlist titles, such as Professor Russell Bellico’s Chronicles of Lake Champlain and Chronicles of Lake George, and Shirley Dunn’s The River Indians.
The conference is a production of The New York State Museum, State Library, State Archives, and the New York State Archives Partnership Trust, in association with the Hudson River Valley Institute at Marist and the Cooperstown Graduate Program at SUNY Oneonta. Its goal is “to provide an inclusive and engaging forum in which historians, educators, museum professionals, archivists, and librarians can share research and resources on the practice, research, preservation, and teaching of New York State history.” This year’s theme is New York at 250: The Empire State’s Role in U.S. Independence.
We look forward to seeing you there!
